Terms of Service

1. What This Is
ChaloChallan is a social experiment. It is not a company, not a startup, and not a registered legal entity. It is a platform where people can upload evidence of traffic violations. We may post that evidence on X (Twitter) tagging relevant traffic police handles. If a challan is issued as a result, the reporter may receive a small reward funded entirely by donations. By using this platform, you agree to everything on this page.
2. No Guarantees, No Promises
We do not guarantee that any report will be reviewed, posted, acted upon, or result in a challan. We do not guarantee that rewards will be available. Rewards depend on donations. When donations run out, rewards stop. We do not guarantee uptime, availability, or that the platform will continue to exist. We can shut this down at any time for any reason.
3. Your Responsibility
Everything you upload is your responsibility. You confirm that any evidence you submit is real, unedited, captured by you, and depicts an actual traffic violation. You are solely responsible for the accuracy and legality of your submissions. Filing false, fabricated, or misleading reports is strictly prohibited and will result in an immediate ban. If your submission causes legal issues for you, that is your problem, not ours.
4. We Are Not Liable
This platform is provided "as is" with no warranty of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, ChaloChallan, its creators, operators, and contributors shall not be held liable for any damages, losses, claims, legal action, or consequences arising from your use of the platform. This includes but is not limited to: damages arising from reports you submit, actions taken or not taken by traffic police, disputes with alleged violators, loss of data, loss of rewards, incorrect information, technical failures, or any other outcome related to your use of this platform. You use ChaloChallan entirely at your own risk.
5. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless ChaloChallan, its creators, operators, and contributors from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the platform, your submissions, your violation of these terms, or your violation of any law or third-party rights.
6. Your Content
You own what you upload. But by uploading, you give us permission to use, post, and share your content on X and other platforms for the purpose of reporting traffic violations. We may add our branding to your content before posting. If you don't want your content shared publicly, don't upload it.
7. Rewards and Payouts
Rewards are discretionary, not guaranteed, and funded entirely by donations. The burden of proof is on you. Our team decides whether a report is authentic enough to qualify for a reward, and that decision is final. Rewards will not be paid if: you are not the person who actually captured the evidence, you are using someone else's content, you are impersonating another person, or we have any reason to believe the submission is not genuine. If you repost, download, or steal content from someone else and try to claim a reward, you will be permanently banned. We may require you to verify your identity (government ID, Aadhaar, or other proof) before processing any payout. If you refuse or fail to verify, rewards will not be paid. The amount, availability, and criteria for rewards can change at any time. You are responsible for any taxes on rewards you receive.
8. Account Termination
We can suspend or delete your account at any time, for any reason, without notice. Reasons include but are not limited to: false reports, spam, abuse, harassment, or anything we determine is harmful. If your account is terminated, you lose access to pending rewards.
9. No Relationship with Police
ChaloChallan is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to any police department, government body, or law enforcement agency. We simply tag them on social media. Whether they act on it is entirely up to them. We have no control over police response or challan issuance.
10. Privacy
We collect your email, location data, and uploaded media. We don't sell your data. Your identity is not shared publicly. For details, see our Privacy Policy. Read our Privacy Policy.
11. Disputes
Any disputes will be resolved under Indian law, in the courts of Bangalore, Karnataka. You agree to attempt informal resolution before filing any formal complaint.
12. Changes
We can change these terms whenever we want. If we do, the updated version will be posted here. Continuing to use the platform means you accept the new terms.
